Using a Fire Extinguisher

Using a Fire Extinguisher

When operating a fire extinguisher, it’s important to remember the P-A-S-S method for effective use. Start by pulling the pin to unlock the device, then aim the nozzle at the base of the fire where the fuel source is located. Next, squeeze the trigger to release the extinguishing agent, and finally sweep the nozzle side to side to cover the fire until it is fully out. This simple method helps maximize efficiency and safety in an emergency situation.
