David Myrol is a nationally recognized authority in OHS law, with extensive experience in both trial and appellate courts. His career began with a groundbreaking role as Alberta’s first designated OHS Crown Prosecutor, where he established a benchmark for the prosecution of OHS violations. Subsequently, as one of Canada’s earliest full-time OHS Defence Lawyers, he has spent over two decades exclusively focused on OHS law, representing a broad spectrum of companies across Western and Northern Canada. This unique dual perspective has made him an invaluable advisor to both industry and government.

Beyond his extensive legal background, Myrol holds an MBA from the University of Alberta and the ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Management, equipping him with a strong blend of legal and business acumen. His leadership in the field is further evidenced by his tenure as Partner and Chair of the Occupational Health and Safety Practice Group at McLennan Ross LLP, and as the founding chair of the National OHS Subcommittee for the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers (CACE).
